Future Residents

Welcome home!

We’re excited that you chose to live with Uptown Rentals. We will be here every step of the way through the process of moving into your new apartment or single family home in the Greater Cincinnati area. Here is what to keep in mind before your move- in day approaches:

Gas/Electric – Duke Energy

Residents in all of our apartments and houses are required to transfer electric and gas (if applicable) service into their name prior to move in. We cannot release keys to you if you have not provided proof of transferred Duke Energy services. Anyone without a Social Security Number will have to fill out this form (Duke Energy Identity Verification Form) in order to complete the transfer.

Water – Greater Cincinnati Water Works

The majority of our apartments have a built in water proration added to the monthly rent installment, so residents do not have to worry about a water bill. However, all single family homes and some apartments do have separate water meters and will be required to transfer service prior to move in. We cannot release keys to you if you have not provided proof of transferred Greater Cincinnati Water Works services.

Depending on what you’re looking for in cable, internet, and phone service, one of the following companies should be able to suit your needs.

Renter’s Insurance

Renter’s insurance is required as part of your lease agreement.

Each resident will need to provide proof of their own renter’s insurance prior to move in. You can upload your proof of insurance through Resident Services.  Navigate to “Lease” then “Insurance”.  If you do not have a renter’s insurance policy, our preferred insurance provider is Resident Shield. You can sign up ahead of time here – Resident Shield.

If you have prepaid for a parking pass, you will receive your parking permit on your move in date. We cannot give you a parking pass if you have not paid for it. You are able to pay for parking on your move in date if there are still spaces available for purchase. Please contact the office to determine if parking is still available and complete the Parking Request form then submit your payment through Resident Services.  A parking space, if available, will only be held once payment is received.
